FC – Custom Dentures at Dental Group of Falmouth, Falmouth, MA

Over 36 million Americans have no teeth, and 120 million are missing at least one tooth, making dentures a standard solution. Dentures help restore your teeth when you’ve lost some or all. Dental Group of Falmouth creates comfortable, natural-looking dentures that fit you well. Our caring team is here to guide you through every step.

Types of Dentures We Offer at Dental Group of Falmouth

We offer several types of dentures to fit different needs. Each option is designed to restore teeth and improve mouth function.

  • Full dentures are for when you’re missing all your teeth on the top or bottom
  • Partial dentures work when you still have some natural teeth hanging in there
  • Immediate dentures are ready to go right after we remove your teeth
  • Implant-supported dentures snap onto tiny posts for a firmer, more secure feel

What to Expect During Your Denture Fitting Appointment

Getting dentures might sound like a big step, but don’t worry, it’s pretty simple. We walk you through everything. First, we take a good look at your mouth. We check your gums, your jaw, and what’s going on with your teeth. After that, we take molds. Yep, squishy molds. These help us shape dentures that fit your mouth perfectly.

You might need a few visits so we can fine-tune the fit. We want them to feel like they belong. When your dentures are ready, we show you how to wear and care for them. You’ll get used to them faster than you think.

Benefits of Choosing Dentures for Tooth Replacement

Dentures do a lot more than fill in the gaps; they help you get back to normal, or even better than before.

  • Enjoy foods that were hard to chew before
  • No more mumbling or awkward pauses
  • Dentures help your face keep its shape and look natural
  • They’re often more affordable than other tooth replacement options

How to Care for Your Dentures and Maintain Oral Hygiene

With just a few simple steps each day, you can keep them clean and make them last longer. Start by rinsing them after you eat. A quick rinse gets rid of food bits and keeps them fresh. Use a soft brush and a denture cleaner (not toothpaste—it’s too harsh). Brush your gums and tongue, too. That keeps everything feeling fresh and clean.

When you’re not wearing your dentures, soak them in cool water. That keeps them from drying out or losing their shape. If they feel loose or something seems off, bring them in. Don’t try to bend or fix them at home. Let us help you keep them in great shape.

Are Dentures Right for You? Signs You May Need Them

A lot of people wonder the same thing. Here are a few signs that dentures might be the right move:

  • You’ve lost several teeth, or most of them
  • Eating feels like a chore
  • You hide your smile more than you’d like
  • Your gums hurt or feel swollen a lot
  • You’ve started avoiding certain foods altogether
